The Unlikely Birth of a Conspiracy Theorist

Get ready, I'm going to proudly dive right off of the deep end. This morning, I was privileged enough to catch an interview with Jim Marrs, a famed conspiracy theorist. He was on the radio, promoting his new book, The Rise of the Fourth Reich: The Secret Societies That Threaten to Take Over America. The first thing that I heard him say was that the Nazi's were responsible for stealing King Solomon's treasure. That through the years, they have used this powerful wealth, consolidating themselves into gigantic, multi-national corporations, with an end to take over the world!!! Immediately, my interest was piqued.

After World War II, the "former"-Nazi's dispersed throughout the world, creating over 700 corporations. These corporations have since merged, in many cases, creating the aforementioned global corporations. According to Marrs, the Nazi-influenced underground has an end to cast a veil over the truth, influencing globalization, wars, and calamities. They have promoted their cause primarily through the media companies they control; including newspapers, television, and books.

Now, do I believe any of this stuff? No, not really. But do I think that something is off in the world? Something is afoot that defies explanation? That somehow, someway, the world has taken an irreparable turn that has caused us to shift our society from something Jeffersonian to something more...Orwellian. Think about the ways that life has changed for us since 9-11, a tragedy that caused us not to defend our way of life, but to relinquish it. It's one thing if we are simply defending our country from global terrorism, from those who seek to kill us indiscriminately on the basis of our religion and our way of life. But what if we are simply playing into the hands of a power that is so much bigger and more threatening. A power that wants us to relinquish our freedom, drop our guns, and trust the government with our privacy. We know longer live in the land of the free, but in a place with The Patriot Act, the Department of Homeland Security, a presidential candidate declaring himself a "Citizen of the World", and a Europe united under one sovereign government. It's a little scary to place such power in the hands of those who care so little for us.

I'm not sayin'...I'm just sayin'. Think twice before supporting any agenda that places us at the mercy of our government, especially when the government should be at the mercy of its people.

kinda scary isn't it? There are people who are so afraid of stuff like this that they are building personal arsenals in their homes. It irritates me because they won't sell me any of their guns!!!
